Important features that you must keep running on your smartphone

If you have opened this post, I assume you have a smartphone. If not here's a new product just for you! If not, it will be in the near future, right? Because it is very difficult to live without a smartphone nowadays. But if you do not turn on some of the settings of this phone, you may have to pay a heavy price for it. I want my readers to enjoy a wonderful digital life. And today's post is a continuation of that effort. Let us know the features that you should turn on now in your smartphone for your own safety.

Features that you must keep running on your smartphone

1. SIM PIN code

Many people do not want to keep the SIM pin code check feature on for fear. Because usually if you give the wrong PIN code 3 times then the SIM card can not be activated without another security code (Puk code). This Puk code is written on the documents that are given with the SIM. If you change the PIN code of the SIM and then turn on the PIN code feature, you have to enter the PIN code every time you turn on the phone. Otherwise that SIM will not be activated.

So in this case, if your phone is lost, then no one can use the SIM card. Because only you know its pin code. If you turn on the pin code feature, that SIM will no longer be turned on on any phone - unless the correct PIN is entered. If you give the wrong PIN 3 times and usually 10 times the wrong PAC code, that SIM will be permanently lost. So if you turn on this important feature, you will get rid of the unwanted use of mobile.

2. Storage encryption

Even if you lock your smartphone with a password, it is still possible to retrieve your photos, videos, and all stored data in a special way. I have seen many people crying for fear of leaking 'personal' data after losing their phones.

But if you encrypt both the internal storage and the memory card storage of the phone with the screen lock, then it will not be possible to recover the data of that phone and memory card without encryption/decryption password. Encryption is a popular technology for privacy, which is not the work of ordinary people to bypass data recovery. However, some research institutes and government authorities may have encryption bypass strategies, which cannot be stopped by anything.

3. GPS Tracking

If the phone's data and location / GPS is on, you can see where the phone is on the map using the 'Find My Device' feature. You can then ring it out loud if you want and/or lock the set or delete its data. But if the thief gives your phone a factory reset, then GPS tracking will no longer work.

4. App Locker

If you occasionally have to hand over your phone to others, you can use App Locker to protect your important data. Some phones ( including iPhone ) including Xiaomi have app locker features in the settings through which you can lock various functions of the phone which cannot be opened without password/pattern/fingerprint. There are also some third-party apps through which this feature can be launched. So with this, you can get proper protection of your privacy.

5. Online contact synchronization

Keep your phone contacts, messages, etc. synchronized online. Almost every phone manufacturer provides this service through which phone numbers, messages, notes, etc. can be saved online. You can also use the Google Contacts app for Android. And there is iCloud for iPhone.

6. Cloud file storage

You can upload your important files, documents, etc. online from the phone. If you have a problem with the phone later, you can access all your data online again. Google Drive can be used.

7. Upload photos and videos online

Whatever the storage of the phone, one day it will run out (that is, it will be full). Then you can sync photos and videos online so you don't have to lose anything forever. In this case, you can use Google Photos and/or the Flickr app. Free unlimited photos and videos can be uploaded to Google Photos (resized). When WiFi is turned on, these will be automatically uploaded online from the gallery, with privacy control in your hands. And you can upload your full-resolution photos on Flickr up to a total of 1000 GB space.

In addition to online, offline, that is, you can keep a backup of this data on your computer, so even if the phone is great, you will not lose your useful information. Some phones, such as the iPhone, offer a very powerful activation lock system that allows you to no longer use the phone unless you sign in online with the correct ID and password. In the case of the iPhone, it is also called iCloud Lock.

When the Find My iPhone feature is turned on, iCloud Lock or Activation Lock is turned on automatically. In this case, even if you can reset the phone, you need to sign in to Apple. In that case, the person whose Apple ID with iCloud Lock has been activated needs his ID password. If such an activation lock cannot be opened, it cannot be used for any purpose other than unlocking the parts of the device.
